PAKISTAN: THREE HARDCORE TERRORISTS HANGED IN KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA PRISON
October 4, 2017: Three terrorists condemned to death by a military court were sent to the gallows in the morning at a prison in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, said the three terrorists – Sajid, Bahram Sher and Fazal-e-Ghafar, were executed at a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa prison. These terrorists were involved in heinous acts of terrorism including firing at a Pakistan International Airline (PIA) plane landing at Peshawar Airport which resulted in death of a woman and injuries to two other passengers. Earlier, the army chief had confirmed the death sentences awarded to the terrorists.Behram Sher, s/o Khairan was an active member of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan. He was involved in attacking armed forces of Pakistan as well as destruction of a Girls Primary School which resulted in injuries and death of soldiers. He was also in possession of explosives. He was tried on three charges and awarded death sentence. Fazal-e-Ghaffar, S/O Shehzada was also a member of banned outfit and involved in attacking armed forces which resulted in death of four soldiers and injured another soldier. He was also in possession of a suicide jacket. The convict confessed to committing his offences before the magistrate and the trial court. He was awarded death sentence. Whereas, Sajid, S/O Ibrahim Khan, a member of a proscribed organization, was involved in firing at a Pakistan International Airline plane landing on Peshawar Airport which resulted in the death of Mrs Maqnoon and injured two other passengers.
