SOMALIA: NAVY OFFICER SENTENCED TO DEATH OVER COMMANDER’S KILLING
February 20, 2018: A Somali military court passed a death sentence to a Navy soldier Abdinasir Hosh Mohamed for the killing of Deputy Commander Said Ali Dhere, Radio Dalsan reports.
The verdict of the court followed hearing of a case probing the killing of Dhere at the port of Mogadishu on January 18 this year.
Mohamed shot dead his senior after an argument. The two were involved in a physical fight some days before the incident but their differences were resolved by an arbitration. (Sources: radiodalsan.com, 20/02/2018)
