USA - Gerald Marshall's second message
June 9, 2021: A pen pal of Gerald Marshall's forwards a second message from him (For the first, see HoC 3/31/2021).
"Dear friend,
I have a friend in Texas on death row. He is innocent of killing any one and he does not have any support from his family. I and a few other people have been trying to support Gerald through letter writing and raising funds.
We have also tried to promote a short book that Gerald wrote in order to get his case out there to the public. We have not been able to garner the support that Gerald needs to get off death row. We are contacting you in hopes that you can be of some assistance to Gerald. Gerald is an avid writer and is working on several books that he hopes to publish in order to help his situation. Would you be off any assistance of helping us publish Geralds books. He also paints and draws. We could use help in promoting Geralds art and trying to raise funds with it.
Because Gerald does not have much support, we are trying to raise funds for him to have a comfortable living while he lives on Texas death row. If there is any way that you can help us by promoting Geralds cause, please do so. You can read more about gerald at justiceforgerald.org and by watching our video.”

To this message, his pen pal adds a solicitation that comes directly from Gerald:
“It would be great if you could promote my case in any way you can. Also, if you could find someone who can help promote / publish my books there in Italy. This would be a great help. I would like other pen pals, including Hands Off Cain. Can you tell me the address of Hands Off Cain? I can write to them. I really need to get my books back online. This was the easiest way for me to raise money. I have done a lot for my son with money from my books and my art. I hope I can find an easy way to get that stuff back up and running.
