IRAN - At least 50 political prisoners await execution
April 6, 2022: At least 50 political prisoners await execution in Islamic Republic prisons While because of censorship and oppression ruling in Iran under the theocratic regime of Islamic Republic of Iran, much news of prisoners, especially political prisoners are unheard and unpublished, the name of 50 political prisoner awaiting their execution in various prisons of this regime has been gathered and published. It is to be mentioned that most probably more political prisoners await execution in horrendous prisons of Khamenei’s despotic and reactionary regime whose name has not been included in this list due to censorship ruling in Iran and impossibility of transparent and accurate information. On the other hand the Islamic Republic’s Judiciary informs some of political prisoners’ families that their beloved has received a death sentence while such a decree has not officially be imparted to the political prisoner of has not been officially issued (an instance is the case of Abbas and Mohsen Deris). It is also not clear if the death sentence has been carried out or not in some cases such as political prisoner, Majed Amouri, as in some prisons (including Ahvaz Prison) hardly any news leaks out. Many political prisoners are indicted with charges such as “corrupt on earth” or “Moharebeh (enmity with God)”, the punishment for which in the hellish regime of Velayat-e-Faqih is death sentence but their file is still in a state of limbo with no decisive decree issued. In this manner the political prisoner and his/her family is kept under constant psychological torture and torment. To complete this list and to publish the names of political prisoners who await execution in Islamic Republic’s prisons, we ask that all the families or other persons who have such information to provide the human rights center of “No to Prison- No to Execution” with it. Life of the prisoners in general and political prisoners in particular, is at stake in Iran regime’s inhumane prisons.
