IRAN - 11 men and 1 woman executed in Zahedan Prison on June 6, 2022

June 6, 2022:

12 inmates were executed in Zahedan Prison on June 6, 2022.
Haal Vsh News reported that on Monday, June 6, ten inmates convicted of drug-related crimes were executed in Zahedan Prison.
Identities of drug-related executions:
Ebrahim Ghaljayi, 25 years old and from Zahedan, was arrested in 2019.
Jalil Gargij from Zahedan, was arrested in 2019 with co-defendant, Ebrahim Gargij.
Dastgir Gargij from the village of Jarikeh in Zahak was arrested in 2019.
Ebrahim Rakhshani, 32 years old and married living, arrested in 2019.
Mohammad Nabi-Kabdani known as "Ebrahim Gargij" was a Sunni cleric who was married and living in Zahedan.
Nasir Mohammadani, 50 years old and from the village of Giaban in Zahedan, was arrested in 2013.
Identities of qisas executions:
Mehdi Nasiri, 36 years old and from Zabol, was arrested in 2018.
Hamidollah Paliz from Zahedan.
Mohammad Ali Kahrazehi from Khash was arrested with his brother and co-defendant Mohammad Omar Kahrazehi in 2019.
Mohammad Omar Kahrazehi from Khash was arrested with his brother and co-defendant Mohammad Ali Kahrazehi in 2019.
Isa Safari from Zahedan.
Ms Gargij (name unknown) from Zahak who was sentenced to qisas for the murder of her husband and arrested in 2019.
All twelve prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their executions on June 4.
At the time of writing, none of their executions have been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
