JORDAN: COURT RULES EXECUTION BY HANGING FOR MAN WHO KILLED ANOTHER IN 2005
December 27, 2022: The Grand Criminal Court issued on 26 December 2022 a death sentence by hanging against a man who killed his friend 17 years ago in Aqaba. It was recently revealed that both the victim and the culprit were in a homosexual relationship. The killer had buried his friend’s body behind his house. The court charged the accused with the felony of premeditated murder. In 2005, the killer shot the victim in the head as a result of personal disputes. After he buried the body, he pretended to search with the victim’s family for the deceased. The accused then collected the bones of the victim after his body decomposed and placed them in a bag and threw them in a landfill. The crime was revealed after the brother of the deceased informed the police of a flash memory he had found that contained images of both the victim and the culprit engaging in homosexual acts. The memory led the detectives to the culprit. (Source: Roya News, 26/12/2022)
