SAUDI ARABIA: AFGHAN NATIONAL EXECUTED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING
September 9, 2024: According to the Saudi Ministry of Interior, an Afghan national named Abdul Qayyum Shinwari was executed on August 31, 2024 in the city of Mecca.
According to a statement from the Saudi Ministry of Interior, “Abdul Qayyum Shinwari, a citizen of Afghanistan, smuggled heroin into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Security authorities apprehended him, and the investigation concluded.”
