On October 10, 2024, two Turkish men, 29-year-old Ali Maroufkhani from Qazvin and 29-year-old Hamed Jafari from Tabriz, were executed in Qazvin Central Prison.
Despite a suspension order issued by Branch 41 of the Supreme Court in response to their request for a retrial, Hamed Jafari and Ali Maroufkhani were executed.
Both prisoners were arrested three years ago in connection with a shared drug-related case and sentenced to death.
