Ten Kurdish individuals were killed during protests in Tehran, Karaj, Qazvin, and Mashhad after being shot by government forces, with their identities verified by Hengaw.
Hasanali Norouzi Samaleh, 54, originally from Kermanshah and a resident of Mashhad, was killed during protests in the city after being shot directly by government forces on January 9. Hengaw has learned that his body was buried without the knowledge or consent of his family.
Mehrdad Kermajani, from Kangavar, was killed during protests in the Gohardasht area of Karaj after being shot by Iranian government forces on the same day.
Behzad Abbasi Gorajoubi, from Qasr-e Shirin and an adherent of the Yarsan faith, was killed during protests in Tehran after being struck by live ammunition fired by government forces on, January 8.
Rasoul Choqakaboudi, a resident of Kermanshah, was also killed during protests in Karaj after being shot by government forces on the same day.
Mohammadali Mohammadian, 42, from the village of Qaragol (Qarawel) in Divandarreh County and a resident of Tehran, was killed during protests in the city after being shot by government forces on January 8. According to information received, his body was returned to his family and buried in his hometown.
Masoud Sadeghi, 37, from Sarpol-e Zahab in Kermanshah Province, was killed during protests in Tehran after being shot by government forces and struck by live ammunition. His body was identified only after a week of searching, when his family located him at the Legal Medicine Organization. He was later buried on January 22, at the cemetery of Kuseh-ye Patagh village in Sarpol-e Zahab County.
Reza Rostamian, 18, from Sirvan County in Ilam Province and a resident of Tehran, was killed during protests on 17 Shahrivar Street near Khorasan Square after being shot by government forces. A close relative told Hengaw that his body was returned to the family and buried.
Artin Abdollahi, a university student from Sardasht, was killed during protests in Tehran after being shot by government forces. According to information received, his family has been subjected to severe security pressure and threats aimed at preventing them from speaking publicly about the circumstances surrounding his killing.
Milad Atmani, from Salmas, was wounded and arrested during protests in Tehran. His body was returned to his family 12 days later, on January 20, without any explanation. Informed sources said that despite persistent follow-up by the family after his arrest, they received no information about his fate until they were summoned by authorities and handed his body.
Another individual, whose identity is known only by the surname “Rouhani,” a resident of the village of Kashtar in Kamyaran County, was killed during protests in Qazvin after being shot by government forces. Hengaw has learned that his body was buried in the village of Varmahang, also in Kamyaran County.
