At dawn on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the death sentences of 40-year-old Iraj Shabdiz, a Turkmen individual from Gonbad-e Kavus, and 47-year-old Ali Ahmadzadeh from Gorgan were carried out in Gorgan Central Prison. Ali Ahmadzadeh and Iraj Shabdiz had been sentenced to death three and two years ago, respectively, on drug-related charges. At the time of this report, the news of these executions had not been announced by state media.
