IRAN - From March 1st, executions should almost come to a halt.
March 1, 2025: IRAN - March 1, 2025. On March 1 (according to the Gregorian calendar) a period begins in Iran when executions should be greatly reduced, as it is the holy month of Ramadan. In recent years, since HoC has kept a record of all Iranian executions (2018), there has been an almost total suspension of executions. 27 executions were carried out on a single day at dawn on March 1st, a time that the Iranian authorities evidently still consider to be outside of Ramadan. As of March 2nd, according to HoC's count, 208 executions had already been carried out in Iran.
