IRAN: 10 PRISONERS HANGED IN URUMIEH PRISON

Ten prisoners were hanged in the city of Urumieh, in northwestern Iran. A Kurd inmate accused of buying and selling narcotics, held in Darya Prison of Urumieh, suffered a heart attack and passed away while being taken for execution, Kordpa news agency reported.
Naghad Ali Rajaie of Urumieh is the identity of this prisoner who was executed along with 9 other Kurd and Turk inmates.
One of his family members in Urumieh confirmed this report and said: “This inmate had his arms and legs chained while being taken for execution, and while being transferred he suffered tension and went into a heart attack, and finally passed away.
However, the death of Naghad Ali did not prevent government officials from refusing to carry out his execution.
