November 14, 2023 - Unidentified man executed in Bandar Abbas.

State media have reported on November 14 the news of the execution, in Bandar Abbas Central Prison, of an unidentified man who had spent 17 years on death row.
According to Hamshahri Online the man was sentenced for murder. The date of his execution has not been specified. He was accused of killing his friend 17 years ago but he had always denied the allegations. His death sentence had been overturned by the Supreme Court several times, per the report.
