IRAN: TWO HANGED IN IRANIAN KURDISTAN
October 10, 2007: two Iranians, Kiumars and Nader Mohammadi have been hanged in Iran's northwestern Kurdistan province, authorities announced.
The two young men's families were told that they were buried in the cemetery of Behesht Mohammed in the city of Sanandaj, about 500 kilometres from the capital Tehran.
The families were asked not to organise any public ceremony of remembrance to avoid these turning into an anti-regime protest.
Kiumars and Mohammadi were hanged on World Day Against the Death Penalty. (Sources: Aki, 12/10/207)
