IRAN HANGS FOUR FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING
August 11, 2008: Iran hanged four convicted of drug trafficking in a prison in the southeastern city of Zahedan, the state-run television's website reported.
Gole-Mohammad Salehzehi, Rahim Baranzehi, Lal-Mohammad Zainidini and Asadollah Eshaqzehi were hanged for handling 30 kilos of morphine and 22 kilos of heroin. (Sources: Agence France Presse, 11/08/2008; http://www.richard.clark32.btinternet.co.uk)
