IRAN HANGS TWO FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING
October 27, 2008: Iran hanged two men convicted of drug trafficking, the Fars news agency reported. The executions took place in a prison in the southeastern city of Zahedan.
The agency report identified those sent to the gallows by their initials only, A.M. and KH.N. They were convicted of smuggling 170 kilos of opium, 63 kilos of heroin and 87 kilos of cannabis. (Sources: Agence France Presse, 27/10/2008)
