MALAYSIA: ELECTRICIAN TO HANG FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING
May 22, 2009: an electrician was sentenced to death by the Malaysian High Court after he was found guilty of trafficking drugs. Ng Kai Wei, 28, was charged with trafficking 42.9g of heroin and 34.4g of monoacetylmorphines at Jalan Duta on July 22, 2003.
Judicial commissioner Zainal Azman Ab Aziz made the decision after seven prosecution witnesses and one defence witness testified. (Sources: New Straits Times, 23/05/2009)
