CHINA: DEATH PENALTY THREATENED FOR XINJIANG RIOTERS
July 8, 2009: Li Zhi, the Communist party secretary in Urumqi, China, said "to people suspected of inciting riots between ethnic Uighur Muslims and Han Chinese who have committed crimes with cruel means, we will execute them," said Mr Li.
