MALAYSIA: MAN TO HANG FOR HEROIN TRAFFICKING
September 28, 2009: judicial commissioner Azman Abdullah of the Malaysian High Court dismissed an appeal by Azhar Abdul Latiff, 47, against his death sentence. Latiff was found guilty of trafficking 101.8g of heroin and 54g of monoacetylmorphines on June 3, 2004 in Kulala Lumpur in front of the Grand Central Hotel. (Sources: New Straits Times, 29/09/2009)
