IRAN: THREE PEOPLE HANGED IN ORUMIYEH
April 7, 2011: 3 people were hanged in the central prison of Orumiyeh, Iran.
The alleged crimes of these individuals were in connection with illegal substances.
The lawyer of one of the executed, Massoud Shamsnejad said to Mokerian news, “Tohid Massoumidejin, Khaled Esmaili and Massoud Ghavipanjeh were sentenced to death per the judiciary and this morning their executions were carried out.”
The day before the hangings, per order of Orumiyeh prison officials these 3 prisoners were moved to the prison’s quarantine area to await their execution. (Sources: rahana.org, 07/04/2011)
