KUWAIT: BANGLADESHIS DEATH COMMUTED TO ‘LIFE’
May 15, 2012: In Kuwait, The Court of Appeals has commuted the death sentenced imposed by the First Instance Court on three Bangladeshis accused of killing their friend in Jahra to life imprisonment.
Court files indicate the Public Prosecution had charged the three Asians with the premeditated murder of their friend. They allegedly burnt the victim’s body after killing him.
Meanwhile, Attorney Khalid Al-Kafifi admitted that asking the court to commute a death sentence is a difficult task but through the help of Allah, the Almighty, and the firm word of the court, the sentence was commuted due to the contradicting testimonies and questionable investigation procedures.
