IRAN: SIX PRISONERS HANGED IN GROUP EXECUTION IN EVIN PRISON
June 11, 2012: The clerical regime of Iran in a group execution hanged 6 prisoners in the notorious Evin prison. Two weeks ago these prisoners were transferred from Ghezel Hesar Prison to solitary confinement in ward 240 of Evin prison.Â
Their names were: Mehdi Gohari, Majid Gohari, Reza Fakhri Raieni, Sadeq Yousefi Fard, Mohammad Rasol Pour, and Said Moini.
Five prisoners of conscience have been transferred from Karoon Prison in Ahvaz to an unspecified location, and activists fear they may be in imminent danger of execution, Radio Zamaneh reported.
The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran reported that Abdolrahman Heydari, Teh Heydari, Jamshid Heydari, Mansour Heydari and Amir Moavi were moved from prison on June 9, and reports indicate that prison authorities had announced that they were being taken away for the execution of their death sentences.
