IRAN: FOUR PRISONERS EXECUTED
July 3, 2012: Four prisoners have been executed recently in two different Iranian towns, according to the state run Iranian news agencies.
According to the state run Iranian news agency ISNA, one man was hanged publicly in the town of Ahar, northwestern Iran. The man who was not identified by name, was convicted of murdering a nine year old boy said the report. The execution took place publicly in front of several thousand people on June 28.
The state run Iranian news agency Fars reported that three prisoners were hanged in the prison of Semnan on July 2. According to this report the prisoners were identified as "M.S.", "A. A." and "A. Sh." and were convicted of keeping "large amounts of narcotic drugs".
