IRAN: 11 PEOPLE HANGED IN EVIN PRISON
September 26, 2012: According to reports in Iran, 11 prisoners who were transferred from Qezel Hesar Prison to Evin Prison for execution were hanged in the morning in this prison.
These prisoners were secretly removed from prison under various pretenses from Halls 5, 3, 1 and 7 Unit 2 in Qezel Hesar Prison and were transferred to solitary cells in Evin Prisonâs Section 240.
Two of those executed today were brothers.
The families of these 11 prisoners were denied the right to see their loved ones one last time before their death.
The names of some of these prisoners are as follows: Asghar Mashhadi, 34, Hall 1, Unit 2, Qezel Hesar Prison; Mehrdad Salimi, 25, Hall 3, Unit 2, Qezel Hesar Prison; Ali Salimi, 33, Hall 3 Unit 2, Qezel Hesar Prison; Jahanshah Geravand, 35, Hall 3, Unit 2, Qezel Hesar Prison; Asghar Salk and Abbas Saiedi
