IRAN: TWO PRISONERS EXECUTED ON DRUG-RELATED CHARGES
October 18, 2012: Two prisoners were hanged in the Shahroud Prison (northern Iran) early in the morning.
According to the official website of the Iranian Judiciary in the province of Semnan, the prisoners were identified as "A. A." , charged with trafficking more than 3,975 kilograms, and "M. N." , charged with possession and trafficking 1,289 kilograms of concentrated heroin. The executions were reportedly carried out in the yard of Shahroud Prison.
