TEXAS (USA): RONNIE THREADGILL EXECUTED
April 16, 2013: Ronnie Threadgill, 40, black, was executed in Texas for fatally shooting a teenager during a carjacking.
In his 2002 capital murder trial he was sentenced to die for the April 15, 2001 killing of 17-year-old Dexter McDonald.
Threadgill becomes the 3rd inmate to be put to death this year in Texas, the 495th overall since the state resumed capital punishment on December 7, 1982, the 8th inmate to be put to death this year in the USA and the 1328th overall since the nation resumed executions on January 17, 1977.
