PAKISTAN: TWO MORE DEATH ROW PRISONERS HANGED
June 4, 2015: two more death row prisoners were sent to the gallows in Lahore and Mianwali, raising the total number of executions to at least 149 since Pakistan reversed the self-imposed moratorium on the death penalty in December 2014 after the Taliban school massacre.
Shamsul Haq was executed at the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore. He had killed a man named Ali Imran in November 1999.
Another death row convict was hanged in Mianwaliâs Central Jail on double murder charges. Prisoner Fateh Muhammad had killed a man and a woman over a family dispute in 1999. (Sources: Dunya News and Aaj News, 04/06/2015)
