IRAN: DEATH SENTENCES ISSUED FOR 10 INDIVIDUALS IN SOUTHEASTERN PRISON
June 29, 2015: 10 prisoners that have been detained in Zahedan Central Prison (southeastern Iran) for three years in a limbo status have now been condemned to death. These death sentences have been issued in the past few days.
The names of these ten prisoners are: Abdul-Hamid Mazarzehi - born in 1972, bazaar merchant owning a car tire store. He was arrested in 2012 and detained for 40 days in solitary confinement of the Zahedan Intelligence Department under the harshest type of torture. This included being stripped naked and strapped to a bed (torture bed), threatened with rape, using bottles for rape, being stripped naked and placed before K9 dogs, being held with hands and feet cuffed in solitary confinement, placed under psychological torture to get coerced confessions.
Gholam-Rasoul Mazarzehi, born in 1970. Mohammad Amin Omarzehi, born in 1977. Yousef Ganguzehi, around 53 years of age. Reza Narouie, born in 1983. Abdullah Salahzehi, around 34 years of age. Hossein, 19 years old. Anushirvan Omarzehi, 33 years old. Nosser Omarzehi, born in 1985. Moradbakhsh Baluchi, 27 years old. All these individuals were placed under the harshest physical and psychological tortures in Zahedan Intelligence Department.
