PAKISTAN: 10 MORE DEATH ROW CONVICTS HANGED
October 20, 2015: At least ten death row convicts were sent to the gallows in different jails of Punjab.
Muhammad Farooq was hanged in the District Jail of Sargodha. He had killed Ehsanullah in 2003 over nominal exchange of heated words.
Two prisoners were hanged at the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore. Khalil Ahmad had killed a man named Pervez in Nawankot in 2001 while Nadeem had killed a man in Shadbagh area of Lahore over a fight in 1999.
Three death row convicts were executed in the District Jail of Attock. Muhammad Bashir had killed Imran Beg over a family dispute in 1998. Amjad Ali had killed his father-in-law and mother-in-law over a dispute over marriage in 2002 while Aleeq Shah was executed for killing two people in Swabi in 2001.
Mustafa was executed in the New Central Jail of Bahawalpur for killing six people, including his wife, in 2005.
Another death row prisoner, Khalil, was hanged in the District Jail of Kasur for murdering a college student, Javed Iqbal, in Lahore in 2002.
Two more death row convicts were sent to the gallows in the Central Jail of Faisalabad. Saeed had killed a man by opening gunshots at him in 2003 while another death row convict, Akram, had killed a man named Shaukat in 2000.
