PAKISTAN: SIX MORE DEATH ROW CONVICTS HANGED IN VARIOUS JAILS
April 13, 2016: At least six death row convicts were hanged in Pakistan in the last two days.
On April 12, two death convicts were executed in Faisalabad and Sahiwal jails.
Adeel Shahzad was hanged in District Jail Faisalabad for killing a woman and her three children on petty matter in Pir Mahal in 2001. Another prisoner Muhammad Ashraf Alias Achoo was hanged in District Jail Sahiwal. He had killed Waris Ali in 2000.
On April 13, four death row convicts were hanged in the jails of Larkana, Jhang, Multan and Sialkot on early morning, Dunya News reported. The dead bodies of the prisoners were handed over to their heirs after the executions.
According to details, death row prisoner Waris Mir was hanged in the Central Jail Larkana. Waris Mir was executed for abducting 10 PIA employees for ransom in 1995.
Death row convict Irfan was executed in the District Jail Jhang. Irfan had killed a woman during a robbery attempt in 2006.
Another death row convict was hanged in the Central Jail Multan. Prisoner Anwar-ul-Haq was executed for killing a man in 2000.
