GEORGIA (USA): KENNETH FULTS EXECUTED
April 12, 2016: Kenneth Fults, 47, Black, was executed in Georgia.
Fults was sentenced to die for murdering Cathy Bounds in 1996. A few minutes after the execution drugs had begun to flow, he twice looked at the IV inserted into his right arm.
Moments later, his entire body shook for a few seconds. Then he was still. 15 minutes later he was pronounced dead.
Fults pleaded guilty to murdering his white neighbor, 19-year-old Cathy Bounds, on Jan. 30, 1996. He admitted he broke into several houses to steal guns so he could kill his ex-girlfriendâs new boyfriend.
Fults becomes the 4th inmate to be put to death this year in Georgia, the 64th overall since the state resumed capital punishment in 1983, the 12th to be put to death this year in the USA and the 1434th overall since the nation resumed executions on January 17, 1977.
