IRAN: PUBLIC EXECUTION IN KERMANSHAH
May 8, 2016: One prisoner was hanged publicly in the "Azadi" (Liberty) Square of Kermanshah, western Iran.Â
The public execution was carried out in front of hundreds of people in the morging.
According to the Iranian state-run news agencies Fars and YJC the prisoner who was identified as "Fardin R." was convicted of Moharebeh (waging war against God), through participation in an armed robbery.Â
A few people were injured during the robbery but no one was killed, said the report.
