SOMALIA: AL-SHABAAB EXECUTES 4 ‘ELDERS’ ACCUSED OF SPYING
May 14, 2016: Somalia’s Al-Qaeda-linked militant group executed four men for allegedly spying for Somali government forces and African Union peacekeepers, Horseed Media reports.
The execution was carried out in the town of Aden Yabal of Middle Shebelle province, shortly after abandoning the town which fell to the control of the allied forces.
According to sources around the area, the four men were elders prominent in the village. (Sources: Horseed Media, 14/05/2016)
