PAKISTAN: DEATH PENALTY AWARDED TO MURDER CONVICT COMMUTED TO LIFE SENTENCE
May 19, 2021: The Sindh High Court commuted on 18 May 2021 the death sentence awarded to a murder convict into life imprisonment. A two-member bench, comprising Justice KK Agha and Justice Abdul Mobeen Lakho, announced the verdict on convict Babar's plea seeking acquittal. The bench remarked that the convict could not be acquitted in light of the evidence against him.
