According to information obtained by IHR, a man was executed in Gorgan Central Prison on 23 April. His identity has been established as 37-year-old Hossein Ali Sobhani from Sari who was sentenced to death for drug-related charges. A source told IHR that Sobhani was arrested in October 2021.
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
