April 18, 2024: April 18, 2024 - IRAN. Ali Movahedi executed in Karaj on April 18
According to information obtained by IHR, a man was executed in Karaj Central Prison on 18 April. His identity has been established as Ali Movahedi who was sentenced for murder.
A source told IHR: “Ali Movahedi was transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for his execution a day prior (17 April) to his execution. He was arrested eight years ago.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
