October 10, 2024: October 10, 2024 - IRAN. Ali Maroufkhani executed in Qazvin on October 10.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was executed in Qazvin (Choobindar) Central Prison on 10th October. His identity has been established as Ali Maroufkhani, who was sentenced to death for drug-related offences.
A source told IHR: “Ali Maroufkhani was arrested for drug charges with another person nearly four years ago and both were sentenced to death.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
