January 29, 2025 - IRAN. 5 men executed in Shiraz
Hamid Fanaei, Amir Fanaei, Rasoul Minaei, Khosrow Abbaszadeh, and Mohammad Ali Heidari.
According to a report received by Hengaw, at dawn on January 30, 2025, the death sentences of Amir Fanaei (36) and Hamid Fanaei (42), both from Marvdasht; Mohammad Ali Heidari (31) from Shiraz; Rasoul Minaei (33); and Khosrow Abbaszadeh (approximately 35), both from Babol, Mazandaran, were carried out in Shiraz Central Prison.
Amir and Hamid Fanaei, brothers, had been arrested five years ago in a joint case of murder, while Mohammad Ali Heidari had been imprisoned for four years on charges of murder. Additionally, Rasoul Minaei and Khosrow Abbaszadeh, who were relatives, were arrested four years ago in a joint case of murder.
As of the time of this report, the executions of these prisoners have not been officially announced in state-run media.
