According to a report received by Hengaw, in the early hours of April 9, 2025, Behrouz Shirmohammadli, a 27-year-old Turkamen prisoner from Gonbad-e Kavus in Golestan Province, was executed in the city's central prison. He had been arrested four years earlier on a charge of premeditated murder following a street fight.
As of the time this report was published, state media have not publicly reported the execution.
