According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged in Ahvaz Sepidar Prison on 9 April 2025. His identity has been established as Ebrahim Memari, a 36-year-old man from Abadan who worked as a freelancer prior to his arrest. He was arrested for murder four years ago. Ebrahim’s two brothers were previously executed for drug offences in Kermanshah Central Prison in 2009.
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
