At dawn on April 15, two men were executed in Arak Prison. They have been identified as Mehdi Motavalli, a resident of a village in Khondab County, and Gholamali Mashallahi, 43, a father of two from Qom.
According to the report, Mr. Motavalli had been arrested three years ago on charges of murder, while Gholamali Mashallahi had been in prison for two years on drug-related charges.
As of the time of this report, the executions have not been officially confirmed by authorities.
