SAUDI ARABIA. MAN EXECUTED FOR KILLING SLEEPING WIFE
July 5, 2005: Sultan al-Laqmani, a Saudi man, was executed in the western city of Medina for attacking and killing his wife as she slept, the Saudi Interior Ministry said. It said Sultan shot his wife Nawal al-Laqmani with a single bullet, strangled her and then stabbed her with a knife in the back of the head.
