ZIMBABWE. BROTHERS SENTENCED TO HANG FOR KILLING FOUR
February 24, 2007: Two Chikombedzi brothers, Size, 24, and Boy Sithole, 22, have been sentenced to death for gunning down a village head, his wife and two toddlers. The High Court in Zimbabwe heard the murders were committed in revenge for the eviction of their mother from the village. They brothers were also convicted of attempted murder of the man's five relatives and an employee, when they opened fire on the family during dinner in a kitchen. The prosecution argued the brothers were known poachers and cross-border traders and were mature enough to make decisions and therefore knew what they were doing. (Sources: AllAfrica, 27/02/2007)
