IRAN. TWO HANGED FOR DRUG SMUGGLING
March 11, 2007: two men convicted of armed drug smuggling were publicly hanged in the town of Minab in southern Iran, the ISNA news agency reported. The executed men, identified only as Ali Sh. and Mohammad J., were convicted of transporting several hundred kilos of drugs including opium, heroin and hashish. (Sources: AFP, 11/03/2007)
