IRAN: WOMAN PROTESTER SENTENCED TO DEATH
April 15, 2010: a female protester arrested in the Ashura protests in Iran in 2009 was sentenced to death according to Iranian resistance websites. Motahareh Bahrami was charged with having links to the People's Mujahedin of Iran. The case is being reviewed after Bahrami appealed the sentence.
She is being held in the women's block of the Evin Prison in northwestern Tehran.
