IRAN: TWO MEN HANGED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING, RAPE
June 7, 2010: two men have been recently executed in Iran for drug trafficking and rape.
On June 4 a 36 year old man identified as âJalil B.â was hanged in the prison of Mianeh, province of East Azerbaijan. According to the state run Iranian News Agency the man was convicted of drug trafficking and keeping 4,5 Kg crack and 200 gram opium.
On June 3 a 25 year old man identified as Saeed was hanged in the prison of Isfahan, the official site of the Iranian judiciary in Isfahan reported. He was convicted of rape according to the report. (Sources: Iran Human Rights, 04-5/06/2010)
