PAKISTAN: TALIBAN EXECUTE TWO TRIBESMEN
July 16, 2010: the Taliban in northwest Pakistan publicly executed two unidentified tribesmen accused of spying for the USA by detonating explosives strapped to their bodies in Degan village in Datta Khel sub-division in Waziristan. They were sentenced to death by a Taliban court.
The Taliban have in recent months executed several men who were accused of being US spies after a series of drone strikes in the tribal region. (Sources: Press Trust of India, 17/07/2010)
