IRAN: FOUR MEN EXECUTED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING
July 18, 2010: four people were hanged in Iran for drug trafficking, in two different cases.
The first person was hanged in public in the city of Ahvaz, in the morning, reported the state run news agency ISCA news. The man was identified as "A. Sh." and was convicted of smugling 496 grams of heroin.
According to the same news agency, three other men identified as "Abbs Y.", "Rohollah B." and "Mohammad Naeem Sh." were hanged in the prison of Kerman (southeast of Iran). All the men were convicted of drug trafficking according to the report.
