MALAYSIA: FARMER GETS DEATH SENTENCE FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING
June 16, 2014: A 31-year-old farmer from Kulim was sent to the gallows by High Court in Malaysia for trafficking 1,997.24gm of cannabis two years ago.
Judicial Commissioner Datuk Mohd Zaki Abdul Wahab passed the sentence after the court ruled that the prosecution had proved a prima facie case against the accused, Fauzi Naim Muhamad Zaki.
He had committed the offense near a stall in Taman Sejahtera, Lunas about 5.15pm on March 14, 2012. (Sources: nst.com, 16/06/2014)
