QATAR: COURT ANNOUNCED DEATH PENALTY TO KUSHAL KARKI
April 9, 2015: The Appellate Court of Qatar has declared the death penalty in the case of Nepali migrant worker Kushal Karki, hailing from Pauwagadha-1 in Syangja.Â
Here is an interview with Kushal Karki who has been just sentenced to death. In the phone interview he explains everything from his side. He said that he was having a tiff with manager Ansari as he was holding his salary. When he requested him to give his salary telling him about the problem of his family, as he had to look after his family and parents.
He is also not sure what his mistake an Ansari was behaving so strange.
The disputes lasted a few days and his workes were also stopped. He was in misery and again went to talk with him and then all of a sudden they started beating each other and unfortunately he died. He tells that it was just an accident, he didnt meant to kill him. The lower criminal court on March 31, 2014 had sentenced Karki to death after finding him guilty for the murder of Mohammed Irshad Ansari of Jaleshwor-13, Mahottari district.
